Elon Reeve Musk FRS is an entrepreneur, investor, and business magnate.
He is the founder, CEO, and Chief Engineer at SpaceX; early-stage investor, CEO, and Product Architect of Tesla, Inc.; founder of The Boring Company; and co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI.
He has just made an offer to purchase 100% of Twitter for $54.20 a share for the units he does not presently hold.
The offer proposed to buy the remaining Twitter shares for 38 percent more than they were valued at the end of the Twitter stock’s closing price on April 1st, bringing the total price to $41.39 billion.
Twitter was the last to trade at $45.85, but the story does not end there.
Elon stated
“As a result, I am offering to buy 100% of Twitter for $54.20 per share in cash, a 54% premium over the day before I began investing in Twitter and a 38% premium over the day before my investment was publicly announced,” he wrote. “My offer is my best and final offer and if it is not accepted, I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder.”
IMPLICATION:
You know what? if that happens, Twitter’s price will plummet
