As part of a feature that allows you launch games from cloud streaming services (like Google Stadia) with a single click from your search results, Google is allowing select users to play cloud games straight from search results.
As noticed by Bryant Chappel, if you look up a game that is streamable, you’ll see a tiny play button that you can click, and the game will start playing on the appropriate cloud gaming platform inside your browser, much as it does for movies and TV shows.
It still requires a very fast, low latency internet connection to truly take use of cloud gaming, but it’s easy to understand the attraction of being able to stream games over the internet similar to how you could stream movies or music. It may not be long before people start playing games directly from the Google search results page.
It’s unclear whether or when Google will push out this capability completely.
