SAS said on Friday that the Stockholm Stock Exchange’s disciplinary commission has fined the airline for its information management in connection with the July 4 pilot strike.
SAS stated reporters outside the mediation location in Stockholm were told about the collapse in discussions and the strike a few minutes before the firm issued a statement on the news. According to the company, Nasdaq Stockholm fined it three times its yearly fee to the stock exchange.
The amount of the cost was not immediately known, and a SAS representative declined to explain. SAS said on friday it has strengthened systems to ensure that insider information does not enter the media before the firm has finished distribution of a regulatory press release.
