The Make Amazon Pay organization issued a global call for strikes, listing planned industrial action in more than 30 nations worldwide.
On Black Friday, workers at Amazon locations throughout the world—including those in the US, Germany, and France—were anticipated to go on strike, voicing their demands for higher compensation to the online giant on one of the biggest shopping days of the year.
Work stoppages are scheduled at ten fulfillment centers in Germany, according to the Verdi union.
It asked that the business respect collective bargaining agreements for the retail and mail-order trade industries and urged the creation of a separate collective agreement on safe and wholesome employment.
When asked about the requirements, an Amazon representative in Germany declined to respond right away.
