
The CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer, said on Twitter on Wednesday that Microsoft and Nintendo had established a 10-year agreement to deliver the video game “Call of Duty” on both platforms.
Activision Blizzard’s well-known first-person shooter franchise will now be available on Nintendo gaming systems thanks to the arrangement. The statement follows authorities’ concerns that the planned $69 billion acquisition of “Call of Duty” creator Activision by Microsoft may hinder competition.
In the international video game market, which has seen rapid growth recently as a result of people spending more time at home due to the coronavirus outbreak, Microsoft competes with Sony Group Corp and Nintendo.
